Loren Furuheim Obituary

Loren Furuheim

Loren H. Furuheim passed away on June 1, 2011 in Mount Vernon, WA. He was born in Stanwood, WA on November 29, 1923.
Loren served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He then worked for Anderson Construction of Marysville for most of his life, before retiring in 1985.
He and Alice, his wife of 64 years, lived in Marysville for more than 50 years before turning their weekend home on Camano Island into their permanent residence. Loren enjoyed countless hours of fishing, clamming and crabbing.
He leaves behind his wife, Alice; son, Gary (Jackie) Furuheim of Port Orchard, WA; daughter, Connie (Ed) McNamee of Lake Stevens, WA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Halvor and Selma Furuheim; and sisters, Hazel Lubash and Arnola Larsen.
To honor Loren's wishes, there will be no services. His family would like to thank Merrill Gardens at Marysville and Ashley Gardens of Mount Vernon for their loving care.
