Lorraine Shirley (Nelson) Elson

Lorraine Shirley (Nelson) Elson, 90, of Everett went to be with her Lord, Jesus, on December 29, 2012. She was born July 3, 1922 in Ashland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Conrad and Esther Nelson and lived in Everett.
She married Walter Emil Elson on November 7, 1942 in Everett. She was a homemaker with many homemaking skills. She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene, Everett. She had interests in spending time with family on vacations and holiday events, loved her church, singing in choir and bible studies. She also enjoyed watching documentaries about U.S. History and old-time movies and enjoyed singing songs from musicals.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary E. (Elson) Bomar and Luana E (Elson) Schoonover; sons, John W. Elson, Charles E. Elson and Krist S. Elson; 10 grandchildren, Lauri (Bomar) Serquinia, John M. Bomar, Veronika Elson, Lorraine (Elson) Huling, Shawna (Schoonover) Moreno, Tasha (Schoonover) Lamas, Trista (Schoonover) Friloux, Toby Elson, Kristina (Elson) Jones and Kristopher Elson; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Grace Holte of Stanwood, Washington and Valdine Nelson of Stanwood.
She was preceded in death by husband, Walter E. Elson; brother, Art; sisters, Clara, Jean, and Katherine; and granddaughter, Caroline Elson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 12:00-6:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett. Services will be held at the First Church of Nazarene, 25th and Lombard, Everett on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with reception to follow in church basement immediately following service. Burial following at Evergreen Cemetery.
