Lynn Eugene Walty
July 21, 1941-Mar. 19, 2013

Lynn Eugene Walty was born on July 21, 1941 and grew up in Cheney, Kansas, where he graduated in 1959, shortly before marrying the love of his life Etta "Eddi" Baird on Christmas Day, 1959. Together Lynn and Eddi were blessed with five children, Michael Walty (deceased), Deborah Shockley, Dawna Dahlgren (Evan), Brian Walty (deceased) and Lisa Jahn (Patrick). In addition to their children, they were blessed with ten grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Lynn was then called home on March 19, 2013 to be with his parents, William and Marie Walty; his sons, Michael and Brian; his brother, Billy, and many other family members, while leaving behind his wife and remaining family.
Lynn's life centered around family, integrity and his relationship with the Lord. This special man has touched many lives through his special gifts of acceptance, friendship and love. To know Lynn was to love him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Lynn was devoted to helping others through his careers at the City of Lake Stevens as Mayor and Councilman; Boeing as a machinist and engineer; and Elim and Calvary Lutheran Churches as deacon and lay pastor.
A memorial for Lynn will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30th at Elim Lutheran Church, 11504 26th St. NE, Lake Stevens, WA. All are welcome.
Donations may be made in Lynn's honor to to "Lynn's Legacy for Eddi" team. ( ) Lake Stevens will be held on May 10, 2013.
