Max "Del" K. DeLashmutt

Max "Del" K. DeLashmutt 83, of Arlington,, WA went to Heaven on January 6, 2011. He was born July 11, 1927 in Onawa, Iowa the son of Van and Ruth DeLashmutt (Rowland) and resided in Portland, Oregon.
Max served in the US Navy for four years during WWII. He married Twylla McCann November 6, 1948. He worked at Scott Paper Company and he and Twylla were apartment managers for many years. Max was a member of the VA and the NRA. He enjoyed gold-mining on the Sultan River and loved to read, play poker and he bought many gambling systems.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Gruol (Michael); his son Del DeLashmutt (Veronica); five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He also leaves numerous, awesome, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Twylla; a daughter, Vicky; and his grandsons, Jimmy and Todd.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 12, at the Solie Funeral Chapel with a reception to follow in the Fireside Room. Max will be laid to rest with his wife, Twylla, at a later date.
Max was a great husband, father, uncle and friend who will be forever missed.
