Mike was born September 24, 1954 to John and Genevieve Holtum. He passed away October 25, 2012 after a month in ICU fighting pneumonia. Mike was diagnosed with A.L.L. (leukemia) in August of 2008 and fought long and hard after his bone marrow transplant in June of 2009. Unfortunately, the side effect Graft vs Host disease is what he lost his battle to.

Mike's passion in life was his family and the outdoors, he loved spending every spare moment in his yard either planting plants or just sitting in the sun. He loved camping and spending time at the beach with his family, he was a very energetic and ambitious person and will be missed by all whose life he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Holtum.
The family is having a Celebration of Life gathering in April 2013; there will be an announcement in the paper with the details closer to the date.
A family friend has set up a memorial account for the Holtum family at Wells Fargo Banks.
