WELL NEIL I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN. WHEN GOD IS READY FOR US HE COMES DOWN AND TAKES US HOME. WE REALLY HAD SOME GREAT TIMES WITH OUR FAMILIES. AND SOME GREAT TIMES CAMPING, HUNTING AND FISHING. BOY COULD WE TELL SOME STORIES. MARCIA, TROY SHELLEY AND I SPENT A LOT OF QUALITY TIME WITH YOU AT THE TWO HOSPITALS AND IT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME WATCHING YOU AND NOT BEING ABLE TO HELP. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS, LOVE YOU DAN, MARCIA, TROY, MICHELLE .

I first met Neil in 1963 in high school. Can’t recall exactly where, but we were both in the school band. His gusto for life and outgoing nature was evident to all and was universally liked. After graduation, we moved on to junior college and I to work - It seemed Neil was employed from the first day I met him. After college my wife, Anita, and I were living in Everett for a while and we saw Neil from time to time. Then one day, when my sister-in-law was visiting, Neil stopped by to help us move some furniture. I vividly remember introducing him to Celia. I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his head. Well, after that, we saw a lot of Neil and eventually he won her over and my old high school buddy became a relative!
Neil lived his life meeting people and helping people. He was a son, a husband, a dad, an uncle, a brother, a grandpa, and a friend to so many. He has left a large empty hole in our lives that he used to occupy. I’m sure by now he’s met everyone in Heaven.

Neil worked hard and played hard. He threw himself into whatever he tackled. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a robust, hardy laugh. He oozed common sense which now-a-days is a rare commodity. He will be missed alot.

It was always a joy to see Neil at work at Bayliner. He had such a positive outlook on life and the biggest smile. He always went out of his way to make you feel special and welcomed no matter who you were. Neil you will be missed.

Neil was one of those guys that if you dropped him off on the mountain to hunt, by the end of the day he knew the names of most of the other hunters on the hill. He'd be in the rig with us and it seemed that every other rig we passed he would know who they were, the names of their neighbor as well as the names of any pets they had. LOL
I didn't always get along with Neil at work, but there was something about him that made you like him no matter what. Rest in peace my friend.

My brothers and I grew up on State Street and played every day with Neal and Danny (sorry, guess I guess it is Dan now). We filled our days with baseball, tetherball, and builing forts. I remember walking home from Garfield Elementary---one day he held my books while I fought a boy that was bullying me. He cheered me on then said I wouldn't get called into the principal's office because wee wre two blocks away. Wrong, but he stood up for me. Wish we had connected in our adult life. You will be missed
