Norma June Mathews

Norma June Mathews, 79, of Moses Lake, Washington passed away on February 6, 2011. Norma's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Norma was born on June 20, 1931 in Fairbury, Nebraska. She graduated from Eugene High School in 1948. She met and married the love of her life, Verl S. Mathews, in 1955.
She is survived by her ever loving husband of 55 years, Verl S. Mathews. She is also survived by her sons, Robert Willits, of Priest River, Idaho, James Mathews and wife, Connie, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Merle (Scott) Mathews and his wife, Barbara, of Fallon, Nevada, David Mathews and wife, Patty, of Marysville, Washington, Terry Mathews and wife, Kelly, of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; and daughter, Diane Thoene, of Moses Lake, Washington; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Sharpe and husband, Glendon.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lee Atwell; mother, Marie Atwell; brother, Homer Atwell; brother, Kenneth Atwell; and sister, Ilene Willits.
Memorial service were held at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Moses Lake, Washington on Wednesday February 9, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011 in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.
