This will be perhaps the final entry in this guest book for Pete as it is set to go off-line after today the 25th of March.
To those who have written a memory of Pete here, to those who planned the memorial service for Pete, set up, brought food, sent flowers or contributed; and to those who verbally shared memories of Pete at the service, on behalf of his son Peter, I thank you. Peter may not remember all that was said at the service about his Dad in the future...but he will remember the outpouring of love that went beyond anything that was said. He will remember what a great friend his Dad was to so many and a brother.
We are all God's kids and when the Book Of Life is opened to the page on Pete and read by Our Creator, He will tell Pete: "Well done my son, I am very much pleased by your works." Then Pete will probably say: "It's what we do." That was our Pete.

Pete was a dear friend, mentor, and father figure to me. Through all the smiles, laughs and tears together, he showed me what it is to be a friend. I am very grateful for the time he shared with me. I will never forget him and the message he carried to me. He will forever be in my heart.
To Peter, Pete talked about you all the time, you truly were his great joy. I send my love to you and the rest of your family.
Pete will be sorely missed.

Dear Pete,
I met you almost 15 years ago. I will never forget the first time I walked down those long stairs into that amazing room of incredible helpful individuals. You were there with a smile and a warm heart. You were there almost every time I showed up, which gave me such comfort.
You always reached your hand out to me (and so many others) willing to serve and carry the message of this way of life. You did this no matter how I acted (and I was pretty scary in those days!) or what i said.
Thank you for be so willing and loving. You were also so kind to my brother when he showed up. I knew you would be. Thank you.
You will always be in my heart and I will never forget how you helped me change my life and so many others.
All my love to your and your family

To Pete's family and his family at the his other "home" which always carries the "Solution":
Pete was a major force in my life. He was both an adviser and mentor. However, he was moreover a wonderful father-figure to me as well. To the members of Pete's other home, he always made it seem that you all were home to me as well. To Peter and his mother Maria, Pete often spoke with such love, affection and joy whenever we spoke! Peter, you were and are Pete's treasure! You will always remain the apple of your father's eyes! Remember that honey! To all who loved Pete, my heart extends to you all as well. With much love in the "Fellowship of the Spirit" as Pete would always say, I send my greetings and warm endearing thoughts from Michigan. We will miss you Pete! I know that I will NEVER be able to replace the void that you have left in my heart and in my soul. Pete, please continue to watch over all of us, and draw us near whenever we shall stumble... Love you lots, whole bunches! Dawn Marie H.

Dear Pete,
One of my first memories of you was when you took me aside after a meeting and shared about a particular tradition, and how I might like to look at it with regard to how I shared that day. I learned so much from you, my dear friend.
One of my fondest memories is when you and Sherwin took such good care of Valerie and me at the SanDiego International Conference. You two embraced us and took us everywhere. It is a heartfelt memory I cherish along with many others.
I will miss you tremendously, but I am comforted by knowing you are with your HP and many friends and family.
Your commitment, service, and love for our fellowship inspires many of us and continues to reside in my heart.
Love,
Daniel Edgar

I could not have imagined nor predicted how my life would change nearly 20 years ago Pete when you extended your hand through the door of the ambulance I was sitting in and said in your cheery and confident voice: "Hi Sherwin, my name is Pete, I'm here to help you." 35 days later you were wanting to drag me to Seaside for the Round-Up...the following year you did and also to the conventions in San Diego and Minniapolis. You were the first person to befriend Joanna after we were married. You were the first to begin a college fund for our daughter. I was the first one you passed on the fire of living Happy Joyous & Free that grew into infernos for us both. "When you are in service unto your fellow man, you are truly in service unto your God." We spent countless hours in laughter, tears, friendship...you honored me with the privilege of being your son's God-Father. You were my mentor, friend and then brother, never loosing faith in me at any point. Thank you for modestly doing a great deal of God's work for Him here on earth. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of many and future generations. Sherwin & Joanna & Julia

Pete, you did it all. A dedicated and dependable worker, a loyal friend of many, hundreds of lives you saved, thousands you helped turn around, regularly visited family roots in Florida (cousins: Lidia White, Frank Correa, Bruno Sanabria), a devoted son (Mima: Maria "Yolanda" Correa), a loving father (Peter Christopher Correa), and further continue to create wonderful memories through your son. I wish you were here. I am finding ways to understand your passing; to honor, remember, and pass on your goodness. Your life goes on through each of us, new adventures we will find. Left to our imaginations, we travel together with you in mind. May peace be with you and may your spirit go along with us. Cherishing you forever, Lisa Temcov.

Pete was an inspiration in the depth of his knowledge about the fellowship. He gave me online sources that I still have and no one in twenty-five years previously had shown me. He was one of kind and perhaps, unfortunately, a vanishing breed. He could match knowledge with anyone but, unlike so many others, did not take himself too seriously, just his beliefs.

Thank you, Pete, for all the gifts you gave me, for showing me how to passionately support an idea, for giving me reassurance when I was having a hard time in recovery, for being willing to take on whatever there was to do. You were an amazing soul, and you will be missed by many.

Pete you changed my life in more ways than than I can count. 24 years as a friend is a long time, but not nearly as long as I hoped. We had good times working at sell, going to conventions, camping, countless meetings, dances, beach meetings at seaside, the list goes on and on. I miss you my good friend. Its been said but I will say it again you helped hundreds in so many ways. God bless you and your helpful heart.

I can "ditto" Jamie, in that I also played for the Baker's Ambulance softball team he helped coach in the early 80's, as well as met up with him again in the late 90's. He was a very thoughtful, caring man! I remember he always had a contagious smile on his face :-)

My dearest Petesie, There are no words to express the heaviness in my heart when I close my eyes and see your face and hear your laugh! I can't believe I will never answer the phone again and hear - "Mo - it's Petesie" as I did so many times through the years, including the last day of your life. I'm so grateful that I was blessed with spending that last evening with you and having your last words to me - I love you - see you in the morning. God bless and sleep with the angels, my precious brother.
With love and gratitude (and many tears),
Maureen

A mentor of mine told me one time that you can't beat the game of life, that you are either living it or you are dying it. Pete lived it right up until it was time. He lived it by sharing it. I'm going to miss you my friend.

I met Pete in 1981. He coached our womens softball team sponsored by Bakers Ambulance. We were reunited in 2001 and resumed our friendship like we were never apart. I will always smile when I think of him and hear his distinct voice calling me "James". A loyal and loving friend and a blessing in my life!

Dear Petesie,
There's such a heaviness in my heart, each day as your passing sinks in, I miss you that much more! Thank you for always being there, in whatever capacity you were needed, and always being willing to share the truth, even when I and others didn't want to hear it! I will NEVER forget you dragging that God~forsaken fire enclosure across the Baker Lake campground at 6a.m., the worst sound EVER! It's one of my favorite memories!
Love, Carrie
