Robert Wahl Obituary

Robert John Wahl

Robert John Wahl left the earth to be with Jesus on March 7, 2011.
Born September 17, 1959 in Arlington, WA, Robert ("Bob") was a loving husband, father, hunter, fisherman, farmer and golfer. He enjoyed the Seahawks and Mariners, tolerated the Titans, Raiders and Chiefs, and aspired to drive a ball like "lefty" Phil Mickelson. For Bob, a good box of Merlot ("mur-lawt") paired perfectly with a late night game of ship-captain-crew; it made for a wonderful evening.
Bob could fix anything - we liked to call it "Oke" engineering. He was the MacGyver that we all wanted to be. He touched so many people and will be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl; trusty puppy companion, Codie Bear Wahl; his daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Trevor Nisbet; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Jeff Fowler; parents, George and Ruth Wahl; brothers, LD and Dan; sister, Cheryl Wahl; and his sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Evan Woods. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Rest in peace knowing that you were surrounded by so many that loved you. A prosperous garden awaits you.
A memorial will be held at Bob and Cheryl's home located in Seabeck, WA, on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to contact Gina, Julie, Terri, or Cheryl for details on the memorial.

You were the one who made your Mom's Siblings Aunt's and Uncle's,We will all miss you knowing you are at peace in God's world. I remember going to church on that first sunday after hearing the news of your birth, running out of the church asking everyone we knew if I looked any older, they would ask why and proudly say I'm an Aunt now. I have all those memories thru the years from your birth till now to go back to when I get missing you.

It was such an honor and pleasure to have gotten to know Bob. His kindness and patience was amazing! His cooking was delicious. The vegetables he grew made me envious as ours never grew. Green thumb he definitely had. What he had the most was a heart of gold and it was so large. I enjoyed running into him and Cheryl on the ferry to watch the Mariners. Words can't describe the feelings of loss. Heaven has gained a wonderful man! God bless you, Dave and Maya

Bob, I will miss that wonderful smile and the warm hug I got each time you came to the clinic to see Cheryl. Today I cherish those times. I will be here to keep Cheryl on the straight and narrow. My heart is saddened by your passing, but I know you are in a better place where the golf courses are beautiful and you always get your limit fishing. Lovingly,we light a candle each night in memory of you.

Dear Wahl Family, My heart is saddened to hear of Bob's passing, my deepest condolences to the entire family. I will miss the sparkle in Bob's eyes as he sheepishly grinned while comparing endless hunting stories with Dan and LD. My thoughts and prayers are with you, may God bring you comfort and peace.

Cheryl and family,

Although I only met Bob the one time when Rob, Kim and I stopped by your home on Sunday I felt as though I knew the both of you through the stories that Rob shared. I enjoyed the time I spent with Bob and I will cherish that. I looked forward to hitting the course and taking in 18 holes and sharing the same laughter and joy that I heard so much about. Bob will forever be in our hearts and I send you all my thoughts and prayers and I know that the good lord is looking over you and I bet you that there is a huge lush green fairway in the sky and Bob has found it already. Love and prayers my good friends.
