Russell Clawson Obituary

Russell E. Clawson Jr.

July 30, 1971- May 11, 2011

Russ, 39, of Marysville, WA passed peacefully at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA after a long fight with pancreatitis.
Russ is survived by his children, Alexis L. Clawson and Jared A. Clawson, of Marysville; parents, Willis and Kathy Becker; sisters, Evelyene, Lora and Dotty; brothers, Troy, Guy, Richard and David; ten nieces, seven nephews and lots of extended family and friends.
He loved his fiancé, Sara L. Garlock, who passed in her sleep on March 19, 2010; and his kids very much.
Russ was also proud to have served in the US Navy from 1989 to 1992 and enjoyed his job of about ten years at Danny's Midway on Smokey Point Boulevard where he bounced, bartended and hosted karaoke until his illness wouldn't allow.
Russ was a good man, he loved his friends and family and was always up for a laugh or telling a new joke. He will be missed by all.
Services will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 9215 51st Ave. NE., Marysville, WA on Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m.

It's been so many years since I last got to hear your voice, and see your smile light up an entire room. You were the best dad that I could have asked for, and I wish you could be here. You had so many more years to go, but life had other plans. I'm sorry you didn't get to see how we're doing now. You would have been proud. I love you and miss you every day, and I think about you a lot. Thank you for being my dad.

I always thought of Russ as another older brother. He was such a great friend, and I wish we had been closer the last few years. I'll miss him, but I know his family will miss him more. Russ was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor.
