Shirley Ann Morris

Shirley Ann (Caffrey) Morris died on March 13, 2011 at her home in Toppenish after an extended illness. She was 67.
Shirley was born October 12, 1943, in Snohomish, WA. She was the only child of Herbert Caffrey and Joyce (Hensley) Caffrey. She attended school in Everett and White Swan.
She married James P. Morris on October 13, 1961. They lived in Buena for the first five years of their marriage before settling in Toppenish, where they raised their five children.
Shirley was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held callings in the Primary and Nursery. She was also a visiting teaching supervisor and a Cub Scout leader.
She enjoyed the outdoors, going camping with her family and hunting with her husband.
Her father and her half-brother, Joseph Caffrey, predeceased her.
She is survived by her husband, James; her children, Margaret (Donald W.) Meyers of Payson, Utah; Linda Morris of Marysville; Susan (Greg) Wilt of Fort Irwin, CA; Nathan Morris of Toppenish; and Amy (Clarence) Hoptowit of Yakima; her nine grandchildren, Edward and Jeremy Eaton, Marie, Nathaniel, Joseph and Samuel Meyers, Jessica Marshall, James and Justin Wilt, and a tenth on the way; and her mother, Joyce Petersen of Marysville.
Friends may pay their respects Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home in Toppenish.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Toppenish. Interment will be in Zillah Cemetery.
