Siever Bunch Obituary

Siever L. Bunch

Siever, of Mill Creek, Washington and formerly of Athena, Oregon passed away August 4, 2010 at the age of 86 years.
Siever L. Bunch was born on October 8, 1923, the son of John W. and Julia V. (Henninger) Bunch in Everett, Washington. He attended school in Lowell at Everett, Washington. Siever enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He served on the USS Basilan "Battlin Bee" and the USS Whitney. Siever received numerous medals including, The American Philippines Liberation and Victory Medal from 1941 to 1944. Upon his honorable discharge, Siever was in the CCC's, doing construction on the Tower at Orcas Island and surrounding San Juan Islands as well as the Moran Estate. He was later a millwright for Weyerhauser in Everett Washington and other mills in Oregon.
On December 5, 1942 he married Beatrice Slingerlend in Everett, Washington.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Beatrice Bunch, of Pendleton, Oregon; daughters and sons-in-law Judi and David Minkler, of Pendleton, Oregon; Peggy and Larry Hartsock, of Lake Stevens, Washington; and a son, Daniel Bunch, of Pasco, Washington; 9 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
At his request, no public services will be held. Those who wish, may make memorial contributions in memory of Siever, to the American Legion Post #130 in Athena, Oregon in care of the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, Oregon 97862.
The family would like to express a special Thank You to the entire Staff at "The Cottages" at Mill Creek for all their caring, support and love.
