Sue Reid Obituary

Sue Reid

"Sweet Sue" Reid, loving wife, sister, mom, grandmother, and friend, passed away suddenly at home and went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2011.
Sue never met anybody she did not consider a friend. There was not a child she was not willing to hold, hug, sing a song to, or share the "Good News" with. She dedicated her life to people in general. She was the epitome of love.
Sue graduated from Chief Sealth in 1965 and later graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Bible and Christian Education. Along the way she met the love of her life, Ray. They experienced many joys in their marriage of 41 years, including two sons, two daughter-in-laws, and six grandchildren. She devoted 15 years to the Children's Ministry of Camano Chapel where she touched many young lives for the sake of Christ.
She loved to be wherever her grandchildren were and always had something special to give them. You could find her on the floor playing with her grandkids or crammed in a bed full of giggling little ones.
Just prior to her entrance into heaven she was able to complete a lifelong dream of visiting the Holy Land, where she was able to walk in the same steps as Jesus did. She is now with Him forever.
She is preceded in death by her dad, William Carl Schuman.
She is survived by her husband, Ray ,of 41 years; her sons, Jared (Ginny) and Brett (Allison); mom, Era Schuman; brother, Bill Schuman (Cindy Vaughan); beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Blake, Casey, Brayden, Catcher, and Caleb; she is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
Memorials may be given to Camano Chapel for support of the Children's Ministry, Camano Chapel, 867 S. West Camano Drive, Camano Island, WA 98282.

I so remember "Sweet Sue" she was one of the most wonderful women I have ever met. I met her while attending MOPS about 15 years ago, she was definitely a breath of fresh air for all who heard her speak....a woman so full of love for everyone....she gave us a prime example of what Jesus wants us to be like.....Sue you will be missed.....but I know you are dancing with Jesus.

Jared,

It has been a long time since we've talked. Jeff told me about your mom. I'm really sorry to hear this. I hope you and your family are experiencing the peace that transcends all understanding. It would be good to see you one of these days.

Your old roommate,

"Sweet Sue", who gave her that name, anyway? Ray, Jared, and Brett, Sue was such an influence to me when I was AWANA commander and she always had Christ shinning out through her, and Carrie and I loved her so much. She was always there for me and I am deeply saddened with her passing, although I know she is in a much better place. We are sorry we can't be there for you, but know we are praying for you to have peace and understanding. John and Carrie

To the family of sweet Sue Reid. There
are no words to express how sorry I am for your loss. I met Sue at Camano Chapel
15 years ago as a new mom. She was responsible for bringing me to the Lord. I have never met anyone else who touched my life the way that she did. I love you Sue.
