Sylvia passed away very peacefully in her home surrounded by her family Friday morning February 1, 2013 in Lynnwood, Washington. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Gill USAF M.Sgt. Rtd and USPS Rtd.
Born in London, England Sylvia "was" adopted by Bob's large family; his mother Jessie Gill of Enumclaw; brothers and sisters; Frank and June Gill of Spokane and Sahalee, Al and Nettie Gill of Enumclaw, Nona and Gene Gilbert of Seattle and Fall City, Bert and Clarice Gill of Enumclaw, and Betty and Ken Brown of Kent, all in Washington.
Sylvia loved to garden, knit and needlepoint. She collected Wedgewood china and English royal memorabilia. She was a 40 year practitioner of Transcendental Meditation (TM) which she learned from her son Gary.
Sylvia was an active member of the Thistle and Rose chapter of the Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) for almost 40 years and the USAF Sergeant's Auxiliary for 35 years. Bob plans on spending more of his golden years fishing and watching the Seahawks, Mariners and Huskies.
Our family is particularly grateful for the friendship and support that the ladies of the DBE and Dr. Elizabeth Ware of Pacific Medical have shown to Sylvia and Bob.
Memorial flowers may be sent to arrive on Friday, March 8th during the day or brought directly to the St. Hilda & St. Patrick Church. Sylvia's favorite colors were purple, pink, red and lavender.
