William Dickson Obituary

William "Bill" Dickson

William "Bill" Dickson, age 69, passed away March 25, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 8, 1942 in Pocatello, Idaho. He and his brother Don were lovingly raised by their grandparents, William and Nadine Dickson. Bill and his wife Fairy Lea celebrated their fiftieth anniversary this year.
Bill enjoyed an early retirement from the Boeing Company after a thirty-five year career. He started work at Boeing at age eighteen and moved up the ranks quickly with his knowledge of tools and engineering to become a supervisor of the tool fabrication/maintenance department. After retiring, Bill and Fairy Lea moved to Austin, Texas for ten years where he enjoyed golfing, eating great Mexican food, killing fire ants and riding his lawn mower.
Preceding him in death were his son, Gregory Dickson; and brother, Don Dickson.
Bill is survived by his wife, Fairy Lea; children, Anna Shepler (Jim), Kathy Dickson, Lynda Forsman (Ben) and Billy Dickson; grandchildren, Kristy, Karin, Jeremy, Leah, Damon, Isacc and Kaylee; great-grandchildren, Devon, Ethan, Star and Celia; and mother-in-law, Dortha DeWitt.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Baptist Church, 710 John Liner Road, Sedro Woolley, WA.

Bill was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I enjoyed my time working with him in Tooling at Boeing. Bill and I were also in "The Lakers", a Boeing Golf League at Walter Hall golf course. I shared many fun rounds with him. He will be missed.
