William "Bill" John Kasper

William passed away May, 29, 2011 at the age of 83.
He was born September 28, 1927 in Mandan, ND to Adelaide Cummins Kasper and Dr. John A. Kasper and moved to Seattle as a young man, graduated from Roosevelt High School and received his B.A. in Business from the University of Washington. He married Gerrie Windmiller and together they enjoyed 54 years of marriage until her passing in 2008. Bill worked as a commercial mortgage banker in the Seattle area throughout his career, was active in Holy Rosary Parish and served on the Edmonds City Council for 17 years.
Bill is survived by his children, Mary Porter (Frank) and Paul Kasper (Erin), of Edmonds, WA, Carolyn Kasper (Jonathan Ritson), of Gig Harbor, WA, and James Kasper (Adrienne Box), of Hansville, WA; 10 grandchildren who love him; his sister, Peggy Withrow (Bill), of Alameda, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his eldest son, John Kasper.
The family thanks the dedicated staff at Rosewood Courte in Edmonds for providing a nurturing and safe home for Bill the past five years.
Funeral mass at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Holy Rosary Church, 630 7th Avenue. N. Edmonds, WA. Internment at Holyrood Cemetery.
