I went to high school with Bill. I always liked him and hoped to see him at a reunion one of these days. He will be missed.

Can't believe that Billy is gone (since we were little, that's how I always think of him). I will always remember our pack of cousins, running around one house and yard or another, our families coming together for Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve celebrations, us kids making lots of noise and getting into trouble. While I was kept up on what Bill was up to through my Auntie, I regret not keeping in closer touch with him, and will for a long time. My love to his mother, sisters, and their families.

I remember Bill from high school days when we were in choir together. He was always so much fun! And he had a gorgeous voice. Very sorry to hear that he passed so soon and suddenly. May his family be comforted in knowing he touched so many.

Bill was my cousin. My brother, John, and have fond memories of visiting at their house at Priest Point. Cathy, Jane and Bill were always so much fun; the laughter wouldn't stop the whole time we were there. And the music--I was so envious. For me, it was like visiting the home of the Brady Bunch-so wholesome, clean, loving. That's how I will remember Bill.

In the last few years, Bill and I would exchange family history. Both of us were interested in the Arndt family geneology.

I first met Bill about 35 years ago when he joined our church choir, and later directed it. He was an amazingly talented musician. I can still feel the thrill of hearing him sing - a voice from the heavens. I will really miss our annual Birthday lunch this year. And mostly, I will miss your wonderful smile. You made everyone feel special with that smile.

Is there still music? Yes, but it has lost a glorious and gracious voice.

I had known Bill since 1987 and, for many years, he was one of my very closest friends. We talked on the phone daily and hung out together every weekend for so many years. Even though it has been a few years now since we saw each other, not a day has gone by that I haven't said or thought of some little thing or another that Bill and I used to laugh about together. Bill, it's so hard to believe you're gone and I'm so sad that we didn't get a chance to talk again. I'll miss you always.

I first met Bill well over 20 years ago, when he was working for health Tec. and I was working for Swedish valet. Over the years Bill and I would talked daily and we would visit once a week for many years. True to form Bill would always ask if there was anything he could bring. He was not only my best friend but my IT guy for my computer. He was a loving friend and talked about the love for his family a lot. Even showing me pictures of his family tree which dated back many years. He will truly be missed by everyone who's lives he touched. I truly love you William... My best friend!

I am so thankful for having Bill in my life. His sayings and stories will forever remain with me. I will miss him every day. But...... what I will miss the very MOST is seeing Marcy and Bill together, finishing each other's sentences and cracking each other up. It makes me feel so very, very sad to know those days are gone forever. I am trying hard to at least be grateful for the memories. Thoughts and prayers to all Bill's family and friends.

Dear Billy,
This is so hard to do. I love you so much and will miss your laughter and that wonderful smile. And all the wonderful songs you sang. And even playing the piano in the basement of the house out at Priest Point.
I truly will miss all the info about our family and all the pictures. Who will I give them too? So did want you to have Great Grandma Margeret Backus's picture. Even thou we called her the lady at the end of the hall.
The tears are falling. I know you are singing in Heaven. I guess God needed another tenor.

I met Bill a long time ago through Seattle Symphony Chorale where we both sang. I encouraged him to audition for the tenor part in a small ensemble called "The Combustion Chamber Singers" in 1986. And of course (no surprise here) he was asked to join the group. Although the tenure of the group was brief, I have many fond memories of that time we sang together. I also have several pictures and a demo cassette tape we made. Bill sang a solo in one of the pieces we sang(James Taylor's song "Lonesome Road"). What a beautiful voice! I miss you, Bill, and I send heartfelt condolences to your family and to all your other friends in addition to me.

Bill was my dear friend, someone with whom I have spent many wonderful hours in visits, walks, museum tours, preparing meals, watching old movies, and especially, singing. I first noticed Bill when I heard him audition for a solo while in our first year at the Seattle Bach Choir. His beautiful, warm tenor voice knocked me off my feet and I told him so. His invitation to coffee after that rehearsal began a long time of close friendship, 21 years now. He was one of the most genuinely loving and thoughtful people I have ever known and I don't know how I will fill the gap that his loss leaves.

Bill was my best buddy and I will love and miss him always. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends. Bill was truly one in a million and I was lucky to have him in my life. I have many memories of times that we've shared and I know someday they will be a comfort to me, but right now they just make my miss my friend.
