Alice Weaver

Alice Weaver passed away peacefully at home March 26, 2013. She was born November 11, 1923 to Cordia and Jacob Turley in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1948 she moved to the Northwest, met and married Larry Weaver in 1953. They were married for almost 54 years.
She is survived by a step-son, Dick (Joan), and was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; a step-daughter, Sharleen; step-son, Gene; grandson, Greg; her two sisters, Irene and Esther; and half-brother, George. She leaves seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Freddie (Eddie), Dottie, Jen; her two half-brothers, Donald (Lynne), and Marvin; two half-sisters, Shirley and Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved hiking and horseback riding in the Salmon La Sac area, and fishing in the high lakes. She loved to garden, and enjoyed oil painting, scratch art, and wood carving. Tomato plants and flower starts were shared abundantly. Her home was a popular gathering place for all holidays and celebrations where we frequently enjoyed her famous pies! She was loving, generous, and so inspirational!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Berean Baptist Church in Marysville, or Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Alice's life, 1:00 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville with a Reception immediately following at Berean Baptist Church. Interment at Marysville Cemetery.

Arrangement entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.
