Bruce O. Brown, 79, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2013 at home in Everett, WA. He was born on May 4, 1934 in Tacoma WA to Lewis and Irene Brown.
Bruce O. Brown
Bruce was stationed with Co B 505th in Fort Lewis where he proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He had many hobbies but his two favorite were woodworking and tending to his beautiful flower garden. Although Bruce loved working around the house he loved caravanning or traveling with friends or family. He enjoyed traveling by cruise ship whether it was to Alaska or through the Panama Canal. His most recent trip was a leisurely train ride through Canada for their 50th wedding anniversary. He loved to dance and they belonged to square dance, round dance and ballroom dance clubs throughout the years.
His family describes him as a loving, devoted and nonjudgmental man with an uncanny sense of humor who never complained about much. His friends describe him as being loyal, a gifted craftsman who was both resilient and steadfast.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen Brown; son, Dr. Kirk Brown (Danette) of Wilmington, NC; son, Keith Brown (Lisa) of Hillsboro, OR; daughter, Arlene Brown of Everett, WA; sister, Myrna Eaton of Mercer Island, WA.
