Karl E. Hoidal of Mukilteo, WA passed away peacefully on January 24, 2014. Born in Arlington, WA to Olga and Karl Hoidal, Sr. October 21, 1926, most of his youth was spent in Arlington. He attended and graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle, WA. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Karl married the love of his life, Naomi (Turkovich) Hoidal on February 21, 1947. He spent his career in King County, working for the City of Seattle. Karl and Naomi loved camping with family and friends and spent many summers at their Rim Rock property in Eastern Washington. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn (Terry) Bagley; brothers, Ken and Richard Hoidal; children, Karen (Jim) Brady, Steve (Sue) Hoidal, and Mark (Connie) Hoidal. Karl also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Hoidal; mother, Olga Rogneby; father, Karl Hoidal, Sr; and sister, Marie Hoidal. Karl's amazing positive outlook, strength, smile, beautiful blue eyes and love will forever live on in our hearts. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
