It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Elfriede Brownewell on March 2, 2014 at 86 years of age. She was an amazing woman, who led an incredible life given the adversity she faced. She survived the trials of WWII as a young girl growing up in her native Czechoslovakia. She met her husband at the end of the war in Germany and moved to America. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd; and eldest daughter, Susan. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Brownewell-Rencsh of Rio Rancho, NM, and Jo Ann Hinkle of Marysville, WA; and nine loving grandchildren. She will be remembered for her wildly optimistic outlook on life, as well as her passion for Professional Wrestling and Knitting. She was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. She brought a smile to the face of all who were blessed to know her. Heaven has gained a special angel, and though we are left here, hurt with the loss of her, we know she is happy to be back with her husband and daughter once again, with our Lord watching over us all, until we are called home as well.
