"Jim" was born July 23, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to Orville and Marguerite Culbertson. They moved to NW Washington when he was 12. He graduated from Everett High School in 1953. He married the "Love of his life" Margaret Whitson on July 27, 1956. He graduated from Everett Community College in 1969. He retired from the Boeing Company in January 1995 as a General Supervisor. He was a BMA gold card member. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. After Jim retired he and Margaret became missionaries for the ELCA and served in Namibia and Tanzania, Africa. Jim loved traveling, woodworking and photography. He and Margaret shared many happy memories of their travels here and abroad. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of 57 years; daughters, Edna Perkins of Everett and Leslie Jackson (George) of Lake Stevens; grandchildren, Amanda Perkins of Denver, CO, Alyson Perkins of Charleston SC, and T.J. Perkins (Mary) of Daytona Beach, FL. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church 215 W Mukilteo Blvd, Everett WA.
