Evelyn H. (Steadman, Weaver) Jarolimek, 86, Jan. 20, 1928 passed away April, 22, 2014 in Stanwood, Wa, Evelyn began her journey in Port Angeles, WA to the Yreka, CA, Ketchikan, AK. landing in Seattle, WA, going to School at Highline, Seattle. She started her working career working at a laundry, then serving at a café, finally ended up as Rosie the Riveter at Boeing, where she met her first husband, Lloyd C. Weaver. They were married Jan. 25, 1947. They lived in South Park where two children joined the family, Michael and Patricia Weaver. Next was purchasing a home in South Everett on Colleen Dr. where Dennis Weaver joined the family. Lloyd passed away Nov. 8, 1964, thus the journey really started with Evelyn becoming the family everything, mother, father, friend and chauffer; playing baseball with the neighborhood children to cooking for Mukilteo School District and at 6th Grade Camp at Fort Casey to GAC camp at Silverton; chaufferuing her children and friends to Little League, Boy Scouts, Job Daughters and Gymnastic meets for Cascade H.S. Evelyn's career changed a little bit in 1970 she went to Pullman and cooked for Dan Hunter at his fraternity returning to Everett and working again at the Boeing Company in the blanket shop, where she met (he won her in the Check Pool) and married Matt Jarolimek at St. Mary Magdalen on Dec. 22, 1973, adding a large family in North Dakota, thus starting another journey in 1976 to Iran, where Matt returned to work for the Boeing Co. Evelyn and Matt took several trips all over Europe to meet the Pope in Italy, visiting Greece, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Britain British Isles, France where Amiee Vindasius joined them. They also visited many other countries, finally returning to Everett in 1979, then moving to Lakewood Rd 1/4 mile W. of the Lake Goodwin Store, where they have resided for the last 34 + yrs. Evelyn spent her final days preparing for that last journey to Heaven surrounded by her family. She left this world on her terms as she did every other challenge in her life having one more Easter with her family present at her home. We would like to thank Hospice Care but most of all her G. Daughter, Christina (Goins) Smith. What an amazing job you did caring for your Grandma. Her husband, Brad Smith; grandson, Ron Goins and his wife, Jaylene; with Evelyn's husband, Matt for giving round the clock care for Evelyn, allowing her to be where she wanted, at home when she passed. Sandy and Craig Stewart, thank you for your help and support for Mom during those last days it was such a tribute to the person she was that you were there during this time and finally to the rest of the family who were by her side for the last 21 days: the Weaver, Goins, Smith, LeBuanic, Vogel families: grandchildren and great-grandchildren, at times totaling 18 family members by her side. One of the statements she made during that time is "this is just like camp". Evelyn was the last one of her generation (The Greatest Generation). Plenty of great people were waiting for her and probably said."What took you so long we have been waiting". Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd C.
