Viola M. Hinds, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Stevens, surrounded by her loving family, May 25, 2014. Viola was born to Alice and Olen Adams of Crystal, Maine, on January 23, 1924. At a young age Viola married Edward W. Hinds and together they raised four children. Viola spent her adult years working as a registered nurse and raising her children. She enjoyed gardening, practicing ceramics and porcelain doll- making, sewing, canning and baking, and visiting the seniors and shut-ins at her local church. Viola was one who never knew a stranger and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Viola was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward W. Hinds; by her son, Myron O. Hinds; by her seven brothers and sisters; and by her second husband. She is survived by her children, Connie Smith, Lee Hinds, and Bryon Hinds; by her eight grandchildren, Darin, Caleb, Caleena, Sierrah, Macara, Marcus, Micayla, and Kari; and by numerous nieces; nephews; extended family members; and friends. A Celebration of Life Ceremony for Viola will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the Marysville Church of Nazarene, 8240 64th St NE, Marysville. In lieu of flowers, any memorial donations can be made to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
