Ray L. Ohlemeier, 80, passed away June 25, 2014 in Arlington, Wash. He was born to Bertold and Ethel Ohlemeier October 9, 1933 in McCracken, Kan. After graduating from McCracken High School in 1951, Ray served in the U.S. Army where he earned the National Defense Service Medal Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). He then went on to a career as a warehouseman at Murphy's Feed. Ray was a wonderful, loving father who supported his children in their endeavors. His children and grandchildren were the joy of his life. Preceding him in death was his wife of 48 years, Melva A. Ohlemeier in 2008; and his brother, Robert Ohlemeier (Barbara). Surviving Ray are his sons, David W. Ohlemeier of Kennewick, Wash., Brian A. Ohlemeier (Alexa) of Renton, Wash., Jon L. Ohlemeier of Arlington; daughter, Diana L. Stephens (Rick) of Snohomish, Wash.; brother, Paul Ohlemeier of Shelley, ID; and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Arlington Municipal Cemetery, 20310 67th Ave. NE, Arlington, Wash.
