Margaret J. Hathaway, age 92, of Everett passed away peacefully on July 8, 2014. Margaret was born on February 23, 1922 in Blooming Prairie, Minn. to Otto and Ingeborg Fredricksen. At a young age Margaret met Erwin B. Hathaway and in 1939 they married. Together they raised two sons, Erwin Jr. and William. Margaret worked for the Boeing Company as a storekeeper for 17 years before retiring in 1983 and in her free time she enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing and storytelling. Margaret was especially proud of the "Monte Cristo Award" she received from the city of Everett for her home and garden. It meant a lot to her as gardening was one of her passions. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, of 64 years, Erwin Sr.; by both her parents, her six sisters, and by her son, William. Margaret is survived by her eldest son, Erwin B. Hathaway Jr. (Pam); by her four grandchildren, Kathy Hathaway, Kimmy Hathaway (Missy), Keri Kuklenski (Craig), and Keith Hathaway (Kimberly). She also leaves behind her very special niece, Janice Weaver (Bob) and her five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Blake, Carson, Nick and Holly. A visitation for Margaret will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway in Everett from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014. A private family burial will take place at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett at a later date. To leave your condolences, please visit Margaret's online guestbook at www.evergreen-fh.com
