Mary Cathleen De Lisle of Edmonds, Washington, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at age 88. Mary was born July 18, 1926, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Thomas and Carol Barton. She was the younger of two children. She graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, Washington. After high school, she made a career as a photography model for print advertising, working in Seattle, Chicago, and San Francisco. In August of 1946 Mary married Robert De Lisle in San Francisco, California. She and Robert become the devoted parents of five children. They relocated to Ballard, then to Edmonds. Throughout her life, Mary was very dedicated to her family. She was active in a wide array of family activities including both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Mary made a point to attended her grandchildren's activities, and later, her great-grandchildren's when she could. After Robert's passing, Mary moved to Lynnwood where she lived out her days surrounded by friends and family. Mary is survived by her daughter, Cathleen Abramoski (Robert), sons, Robert (Kimberly), Thomas (Melinda), and Joseph, and daughter-in-law Sharon (John). She has 29 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son, John; and her brother, Thomas. Rosary and Funeral Mass were held at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Edmonds, where Mary was a devout parish member. Interment was at Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline, Washington.
