Marvin Setzer Obituary
Marvin D. Setzer
After serving in the Navy during WWII, he married Mary Ann Dovey on May 30, 1952. Together they raised four children, living in the Spokane area before moving to Snohomish in 1968. Marvin worked as a barber for many years. He then worked for the Snohomish School District, and they moved to Camano Island when he retired in 1988.
Marvin enjoyed working with his hands; his garage was his hardware store, filled with hundreds of items. He created many useful inventions and ingenious household gadgets. A dedicated husband and loving father, he was loved by his grandchildren and will be missed by all.
Marvin leaves behind Mary Ann, his wife of nearly 60 years; sons, Michael (Hope) and Brian (Lisa) of Snohomish; daughters Cathy Schultz (Jerry) of Puyallup, WA and Ilene Pederslie (Brian) of Snohomish; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and reception will be held at noon on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 26900 78th Ave NW, Stanwood.
