Lois Mae Carpenter passed into the arms of the Lord April 16, 2012.

She was born October 11, 1913 in Minot, ND, to Authur and Oline (Lena) Beckman and moved with her family to Port Townsend, WA with her family in 1929. She married Alfred Wilton in 1930. They moved to Irondale, WA and then to Everett in 1936. Alfred passed away in October of 1950. She married Orval Carpenter in 1952.
Lois worked at Boeing, Simpson Paper Mill, and then did housecleaning in various homes until she was 83. When Orval worked in Ketchikan, AK, she joined him for a year.
Lois was a member of Federated Women's Club, Tuesday Federated Club, Everett Doll and Collections Club, Lady Elks Club, and Cascade View Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed taking pictures -- especially candid shots, playing cards and dancing. She enjoyed doll collecting, sewing, reading, canning and baking.
Lois was the third child and girl in a family of 12. She rocked and sang to her younger siblings before she could fit them on her lap. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, having had grandsons, Brett and David spending weeks with her in Alaska. She also enjoyed visiting with her many friends.
Lois is survived by son, Delwin (Peggy); daughters, Beverlie (Louis), Sharon (Rodger) and Karen; 19 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Jeanette, Arlene and Donna; and one brother, Harris.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Alfred and Orval; sons, Douglas; four brothers, Welden, Dale, Neil and Harold; three sisters, Margaret, Harriet and Evelyn; and grandchildren, Debra, David and Frank.
A memorial will be held May 26, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Cascade View Presbyterian Church, 1030 E. Casino Rd., Everett, WA 98203.
