John F. Corcoran (Jack)

John F. Corcoran (Jack) of Mukilteo, WA passed away peacefully on October 29, 2012 at Bethany at Silver Lake in Everett. He was born in Lynn, MA on April 26, 1922.
A graduate of George Washington University in Washington D.C., Jack was a decorated U.S. Naval Aviator and saw combat in the Pacific theater during World War II.
Jack's business career included working for Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT, Loftus Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA and Western Gear in Lynwood, CA and Everett, WA. He established offices for Western Gear and lived in Tokyo, Singapore and Rio de Janeiro. Jack moved to Mukilteo, WA in 1980 and retired from Western Gear in 1987.
Jack enjoyed history, biographies, economics, golf, fishing and photography. He is a past member of Rotary Club of Everett, Greater Everett Probus Club (first president) and the Outreach Ministry of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
He will be best remembered for his wit, his compassion for others and his unmatched ability for recall. He always had a humorous story to fit any situation.
Preceding Jack in death are his parents, Michael and Helen (Goode) Corcoran; his first wife, Jean (MacDonald) Corcoran; his brother, Michael Corcoran and sister-in-law, Sandy; his sister, Helen Barbara and brother-in-law, Richard Cowles; and one grandson.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Fumiko (Yumi); his children, John (Kathryn) Corcoran of Austintown, OH, Mary (John) Neary-Arons of Bedford Hills, NY, Anne Corcoran of Spokane, WA, Elizabeth (Bud) Moreland of Myrtle Creek, OR, Margaret (James) Foltz of Alamo, CA, Kathleen Corcoran of San Pedro, CA, Teresa (Conrad) Corcoran of The Villages, FL, Jean (Jeff) Sassano of Naperville, IL, Patricia (Robert) Soules of Schenectady, NY and Michael (Jill) Corcoran of Rolling Hills Estates, CA; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews; and his dear friend and caregiver, Wendy Howard.
At his request, there will be no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held at St. John Mission in Mukilteo, 829 3rd St. on November 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery with full military honors at 2:30 p.m.
