James R. Jeschke

James R. Jeschke was born in Everett to Robert (Bob) and Ermintrude (Tudy) Jeschke on March 8, 1937. Jim grew up with his sister Nannet who is now deceased.
Jim graduated from Everett High School in 1955. He attended Everett Community College doing several jobs and some traveling. He joined the Navy as a radioman for two years.
He soon became a member of ILWU Local 32, here in Everett. He served over 40 years before he retired. Some of his duties included being on the local Safety Committee for many years.
He also represented the Washington Area Governors Joint Accident Prevention Committee, which he attended in Olympia for over 25 years.
He always had a passion for traveling, which brought him all over the world. He and Sherry met and were married in 1983, on the island of Kauai. Jim had a timeshare on Maui that they eventually upgraded to a larger unit; mainly to accommodate friends and family.
Jim was a life member of the Everett Elks Lodge #479. He also was a life member of the Everett Eagles Arie #13.
He leaves his loving wife, Sherry; step daughter, Vicki Curtis (Dana); grandson, Kellen; niece, Dennice
(David) Dierreck and their children, Matthew and
Jessica.
Many thanks to cousin Nancy Andes for being so helpful with his many medical difficulties, also, the Puget Sound Kidney Center and All About Care team, Sam King, Karano Bojang, and Cheryl for their excellent care while staying in his home.
A toast will be given in his honor on the 4th of July by the ILWU Local 32.
Arrangement will be made by Cypress Lawn Cemetery. At Jim's request there will be no funeral.
He will always be remembered for his enthusiasm for life. He will also be missed by his many friends as well as his family.
