Robert M. Olsen passed away October 23, 2013, at the age of 80. Robert "Bob" was born October 22, 1933, in Everett, WA. Bob attended Lakewood School through 8th grade, graduated in 1951 from Arlington High School, and was drafted in the Army in 1953, serving the 8th Army during the Korean War. He spent his career as an auto body repairman for over 40 years, owning Bob's Body Shop in Arlington beginning in 1973. Being a "jack of all trades," Bob could build and fix anything. Upon retiring, he enjoyed working at Arlington Hardware and Lumber. Bob was a member of the American Legion, Faith Lutheran Church, and Camp Grande. He had a servant's heart and was the most kind and gentle man anyone could ever know. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Thorvald and Marie; and sisters, Marie and Lillian. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie, of 56 years; children, Jeff, Craig (Jolene), and Susan (Ed); grandchildren, Keith, Cassandra, Tyler, Brycen, Jacob, Josiah, and Evie; great granddaugter, Emma; brothers, Harold and Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1424 172nd Street NE, Marysville, WA 98271 (located in North Lakewood). Memorials can be made to Everett Gospel Mission or Faith Lutheran Church.
