Paul Linari Obituary

Paul Linari passed away suddenly March 13, 2014 in an automobile accident at the age of 21. Paul was born and raised in Everett, WA by his parents, Cindy Streets Linari, a retired Marysville school teacher and Steven Linari, an Everett dentist. Paul graduated from Kamiak High School in 2011 and loved playing lacrosse. Paul had a passion for living life to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors: snowboarding, long boarding, wakeboarding, waterskiing, hiking, bonfires, and working on his jeep. He was an enthusiastic and genuine fellow and will be missed by his many friends and girlfriend, Hannah. He is also survived by his grandmother, Gay Streets of Marysville, WA; brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Ruth Bennett Linari of Everett; and brother, John Linari. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Everett, Saturday, 1:00 p.m. March 29, 2014. All friends and acquaintances are welcome to attend.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Paul but I did work at Marshall Elementary in Marysville with Paul's mother , Cindy, both of us teaching 4th grade. This was before Paul was born. At that time my daughter, Elizabeth, was having medical issues and I had to be called away frequently to Children's Hospital to await the outcome of several surgeries she had that year. On many occasions Cindy would force me out of the building and add my fourth grade class to hers doubling her workload. She always did that selflessly and I will never forget her kindness toward my wife and I. Cindy has a tremendous grasp on the importance of family and how all other things are secondary to that. As we heard at the service yesterday, Paul's heart was big, caring and kind, not unlike his mother's heart. Holly and I grieve deeply for you, Cindy and Steve.

We lost our young son in 2011. I know what you're going through. The honest words of comfort is the pain will lessen over time. It will never go away, but you will find a "new nornal" and move forward. Move forward and lean on each other. Support each other. Many do not understand the deep pain we go through. I understand.

Our family had not seen Paul since he was a little imp - I can still remember the kids running into Lake Shoecraft - on one of our last play dates!

We can't even imagine what it would be like to lose a son or a sibling. We are so sorry for all of you.
