Ann Fails Obituary

Ann E. Fails&bb& Ann E. Fails, beloved mother, grandmother and "G-G", of Bothell, passed away peacefully June 23, 2001.&pe&Ann was born on October 12, 1925 in Thornton, WA, to Earl and Violet (Williams) Hills. She was raised in Spokane and the surrounding area. She and her husband lived in the Territory of Alaska early in their married life, logging and prospecting. They moved to California, residing there for a few years before making their home in Washington. She resided in the Snohomish County area for 44 years.&pe&Ann retired as secretary for the Nursing Division of Everett Community College and remained active in the Retirees Association. She enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, the beach, reading and singing.&pe&She is survived by sons, John "Tom" (Darlene) Fails of Marysville, WA, and Jeff Fails of Granite Falls; daughter Margaret "Midge" (Bob) Reich of New York; grandchildren, Annette Fails and Liz Fails of Arlington, Stephanie Hendrix of Florida and Kathy Hendrix of New York; great-grandson Christian Ellis of Arlington; brother, Stan Hills of Greenacres, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. &pe&Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Fails; her parents; and, her sister Dawn.&pe&Ann will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was courageous, considerate, kind and caring. Her family will miss her love and guidance.&pe&At Ann's request, no services will be held. The family will conduct a private memorial service.&pe&Memorials are suggested to Washington NARAL Foundation, 811 1st Avenue, Suite 456, Seattle, WA, 98104 or Planned Parenthood Clinic, 32nd and Hoyt, Everett, WA, 98201.
