Richard Ollinger Obituary

Richard John Ollinger&bb& Richard John Ollinger, 70, of Edmonds, passed away on December 7, 2002 in Everett, WA from complications following a heart attack.&pe&He was born on November 20, 1932 in Keota, IA to Clarence Peter and Leona Claire (Brummer) Ollinger. He graduated from Parnell High School in Parnell, IA. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and in the Reserves from 1955 to 1959. He had owned and operated Harris Ford for 45 years before retiring in 2000. He was active in the Everett Golf and Country Club, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren.&pe& He is survived by his wife, Elva L. (McDonald) Ollinger, whom he married on December 31, 1955 in Vancouver, WA; his daughter Rebecca J. Stupey of Edmonds; brothers, James Ollinger of Cathedral City, CA, Larry Ollinger of Daytona Beach, FL, and Marvin Ollinger of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Maribeth Duffy of Iowa City, IA, Janice Childers of Chillicothe, OH; and three grandchildren.&pe&He was preceded in death by his sister Jeanette Eltyroth.&pe&There will be a time of visitation from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2002. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Mission in Mukilteo, WA. The entombment will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.
