James Herald Adix

James (Jim) Herold Adix October 8th, 1943- August 15th, 2016 James (Jim) Herold Adix, 72, of Pateros Wash., owner of Adix's Bed and Bath for Dogs and Cats of Edmonds Wash., for 45 years passed away in his home on August 15th, 2016. Born October 8th, 1943 in Postville Iowa to Rev. Herold Adix and Bertha Adix. The youngest of three children, Jim grew up in Iowa until his family moved to Denver and then onto Portland where he graduated from Madison High School in Portland Ore. Jim was a very active member of his community through community service and coaching softball but his main passion was to be outdoors with his dogs hunting or fishing. Jim is survived by his wife Lynn, of Pateros, Wash, daughter and son-in-law; Deanna and Brent Steinebach of Edmonds, Wash, daughter, Dawn Adix of Edmonds, Wash, daughter, Kristin Adix of Naples, Idaho, daughter and son-in-law, Tracie Adix-Zins and Ryan Zins of Holly Springs, N.C., two grandchildren; Brody Beckman and Ava Zins, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Don Smith of Lynnwood; brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Adix of Maple Grove, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Herold M Adix and Bertha C. Adix. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 3, 2016 at 1:00pm at Lake Chelan Lutheran Church. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jim to either Habitat for Humanity (habitat.org) or to quails forever (quailsforever.org).
