Walter C. Stidham

January 8, 1931-March 23, 2017 Walt Stidham, age 86, born January 8, 1931, in Seattle, WA passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Marysville, WA. He was the beloved husband of Vi Stidham. They married August 5, 1950 in Tustin, CA. He was a Marine for eight years and received a Purple Heart for injuries in the Korean War. He then changed to the Air Force and retired after 21 years of service for our country. He then worked as a Postman in Lynnwood, WA. He had many hobbies over the years. He decorated cakes, was an artist and painted in oils and chalk, archery, square dancing and a silversmith. They opened Crest House Lapidary Store in their home in Lynnwood after his retirement from the postal service. He was a lifetime member of the Masons, Robert Burns Lodge. He was also a Shriner. He volunteered at the Retired Activities Office in Smokey Point, WA. His family was very important to him. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Vi Stidham, five children, Penny Winterburn of Marysville, WA, Diantha Pugh of Port Orchard, WA, Tim Stidham of Marysville, WA, Trina (Jim) Baer of Monroe, WA., Cori (Brent) Helm of Lynnwood, WA, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He always had a smile and a story to share. He was very giving and donated to many organizations.
