Richard Cessna Obituary

Richard "Rick" Cessna

Richard "Rick" Cessna, born to James and Ulalia Cessna on January 27, 1946, in Iola, KS. Rick left this earth to be with GOD on July 7, 2007. He graduated from Lakes High School in 1964. He further went on to get his BA in accounting from UW, Shoreline Community College, and Oregon U.
Rick left behind his wife, Janeen Cessna; and his children and their families, Craig and Beth Cessna, Christine and Jay Sweat, and Todd and Jamie Cessna; his step-children, Amanda Yates, Cody Yates, and Bryanna Yates; and his grandchildren, Nick Slead, Kyle Sitowski, Bradley Cessna, and Eva Sophia Cessna. Rick also left behind his only living sibling, Tony Brisson and husband, Cliff.
Rick enjoyed walks on the beach, trying to fish, ice cream, car shows, and camping in the mountains wherever. Rick also enjoyed being a true kid and cowboy at heart. He enjoyed life and he loved GOD.
Rick used to say "I'm an ole smooth doggy, sing the chorus girls," and we would chime in "Yes he is, Yes he is".
Rick always wanted to be remembered as "JUST A NICE GUY".
He will be greatly and lovingly missed. Even though life throws us good and bad curve balls, I just want to say to you Rick, "Goodbye for now my soul mate, I Love you!"
