Eric G. Bourgeois Ph.D.

Eric Gerard Bourgeois, Ph.D., age 63, passed away on September 1, 2016, at his residence in New Bedford, Mass. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Ernest Gerard and Allmeda (Keennan) Bourgeois. He is survived by four sisters: Gail Bourgeois of Quebec, Ann Bourgeois of West Virginia, June Bourgeois of Maine and Cheryl Ruth of West Virginia, by two nephews: Thomas M. Bourgeois and Daniel Bourgeois-Capozzi and by his niece, Erica Ruth. Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and his Master of Arts and Doctorate degrees from Northeastern University. He was Associate Professor of Sociology at Bristol Community College for 5 years and had been an adjunct professor at UMass Lowell, Bridgewater College and UMass Dartmouth. A scholarship fund is being established to keep Erics memory alive. Donations may be made to the Dr. Eric G.
