Alfred Carbaugh, 92, Storm Lake, died February 16, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center, Storm Lake.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Feb. 19, at the Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home, Storm Lake. Burial was at the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery, Storm Lake.
Alfred Harold Carbaugh was born Feb. 17, 1920, in Denison, the son of John and Amanda Carbaugh. He graduated from Mondamin High School.
During World War II, Alfred enlisted in the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country.
On June 25, 1950, Alfred was united in marriage to Darlene Perrin in Moorhead. This union was blessed with two children, John and Ivan.
Alfred was employed by Hygrade until it closed in October of 1981. He then was employed by Roth Ready Mix and Wetherell Trucking until his retirement.
He especially enjoyed meeting with friends and visiting over a cup of coffee. Alfred will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Darlene Carbaugh, Storm Lake; sons, John Carbaugh, Storm Lake and Ivan Carbaugh, Springfield, Ore.; grandchildren, Katelyn and Kristina Carbaugh, Storm Lake; and Janine (Scott) Reynolds, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren, Crystal, Shaun and Andy; two sisters-in-law, Beula (Creighton) Millard, Storm Lake, and Vida (Jerry) Clark, Bancroft, Neb.; several nieces and nephews; longtime special friends, Carol (Roger) Spooner and Bud (Cleona) Wilson, both Mondamin; extended family and many friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Fannie, Vivian and Evelyn; one brother, Alvin; parents-in-law, John and Grace Perrin; and sister-in-law, Lila Perrin.
