Gladys CollinsYORK - Gladys Smith Collins, 81, of York, S.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, S.C. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Bratton Funeral Home, with the Revs. Daggett Duncan and Barry Philbeck officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Bratton Funeral Home in York. Gladys was a daughter of the late John Smith and Alice Green Smith and the widow of Samuel A. Collins. She was a member of Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church and retired from American Thread. She is survived by three daughters, Vickey Parham, Brenda Bailes (Bill) and Patricia Bridges (Richard); son, Mike Collins (Teresa); and 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Ronnie Collins, Johnny Collins, Larry Collins and Sammy Collins. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brattonfuneralhome.com.
