EDGMOOR - Mary Pauline Hefner Small, 81, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at her home.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Lando Church of God, with the Rev. Edward Harris and Dr. Larry Soles officiating. Interment will be held in Lando Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, May 14, 2012, at the home of her son, Chris Christopher, 2064 Tiger Paw Lane, York, SC 29745.
Mrs. Small was born in Lando, S.C., on Aug. 24, 1930. She was a daughter of the late Curtis Hefner and Jerusha Laney Hefner. She attended the schools of Chester County and was a graduate of York Technical College and a member of Lando Church of God. Mrs. Small retired from the City of Rock Hill. She was the widow of Irby Wayne Small.
Mrs. Small was one of fourteen children. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Small of Blythewood, S.C.; three sons, Joel Christopher of York, S.C., Mike Christopher of Lancaster, S.C., and Chris Christopher of Lake Wylie, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Evans of Edgemoor, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Richard P. Christopher.

Aunt Pauline, you were an angel on earth and now you are an Angel in the glorious kingdom of Heaven. I love you & will always cherish the beautiful memories of my childhood spent with you on our weekend visits to the "country" with mom & my sisters.
