I haven't seen this lady in years but I have kind of kept up with her through her granddaughter, Alison Jean Hamilton. I didn't even know her first name until I read this obituary. She was always "Mrs. Hamilton" to me.
I came to Rock Hill at eight years old and we went to First Baptist where I attended Sunday School. I was a real handful. However, Mrs Hamilton knew how to deal with me. She didn't yell, berate me or rat me out to my mom. She put me to work. She put me "in charge" of taking attendance.
She was a sweet, loving lady. The world was lucky to have her for 98 years and I was lucky to have known her for the time that I did.

Mike and I are so sorry to hear about your mother, Haden. However, what a wonderful way to pass into heaven! You and Brenda certainly were wonderful to her throughout these many years. God bless.

I loved her as my second Mother. She was a confidant, supporter, encourager, and occasionally a scolder to me.

I remember Aunt Frances fondly from many family reunions. Unfortunately the last time I saw her was at my wedding nearly 30 years ago. I still have a recipe she gave me for a pie she fixed for one of the reunions. She was a lovely woman and I know she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you today. Love, Karen (Odessa's grand-daughter)
