Josie, I am so sorry for your loss. Gary would check on my melanoma status every so often and I appreciated my old childhood friend thinking of me. I got a clear quarterly scan yesterday and I hope your results are similar. Warm regards, Jim Townsend

Josie and family...
Gary was one of a kind; the "Real McCoy!" As a kid, my family and the May's were very close. Always loved going out to visit with Miss Francis and playing at the farm. Gary was a great guy and loved by so many; most certainly the Connelly's!
Take care and call on me for anything I can do.
Much love,
Ronnie

I worked with Gary at American Cyanamid many years ago. He was a very nice young
man and I remember so well when you two had us for Dinner in your Garage Apartment in Buckhead and I believe at that time was when you were expecting Frances. May God keep you and your family "safe until the storm passes by".

Gary and Josie called us in California in the last couple of weeks and we had a long and happy conversation so it was a shock to learn of Gary's passing. It was always great fun to be with Gary and to trade good-natured barbs and tall tales when we were neighbors in Atlanta and in more recent years over the phone. He will be missed in many neighborhoods and we extend our sincere condolences to Josie, Frances, Allyson and the rest of his loved ones.

Josie and family,
Gary's sudden passing greatly saddened us. He was so kind and generous to his classmates at the Citadel. The Class of '59 will sorely miss him. May you and the girls find peace in knowing that Gary is glorying in Jesus' embrace.
