Kathy Smith Wingate SALISBURY, NC - Kathy Smith Wingate, 62, of Salisbury, went to her heavenly home on July 4, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Kathy loved to spend time with her family, friends, and pets. Her dogs Clarence and Blackie and cats Baby and Puss-Puss will miss her daily love and attention. Kathy enjoyed being outside, gardening, fishing, going to the movies, and cleaning her house. Kathy had a passion for life that everyone who knew her will forever miss. Kathy is survived by her husband, Rodney L. Wingate, of Salisbury; daughter, Jennifer "Boo Boo" Dawn and David Chambers, of Spencer; stepson, Rodney Wingate, Jr., of Okeechobee, FL; stepdaughter, Shannon "Noel" Neal (Christopher), of Gainesville, FL; brothers Michael Smith (Evelyn), of Rockwell, Jeff Smith (Robin), of China Grove, and Ronnie Smith (Teresa Rusher), of Cooleemee; sisters Kay Smith, of China Grove, Debby King (Rodney), of Rock Hill, SC; several nieces and nephews, and many extended family, friends, and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack Thomas Smith and Mary Maness Smith of China Grove. Visitation will be held at Providence Baptist Church 620 Andrews St., East Spencer, NC, on Tuesday, July 7, beginning at 10AM, with the service immediately following at 11AM. The family would like to thank Dr. Myron Goodman and staff for their compassion and medical care and the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for their kindness. Donations may be made in memory of Kathy S. Wingate to the Heart2Heart Foundation at PO Box 2991, Rock Hill, SC 29732 in support of women's heart health.

Allen Wilson ROCK HILL - Mr. Allen "White Sugar" Wilson, 83, of 84 Jefferson Avenue in Rock Hill, S.C., passed on June 29, 2015, at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born on May 27, 1932, in York County to the late George Wilson and Sally Robertson Allen. He is survived by daughters, Ricky Williams, Dorothy C. Davis and Gladys C. Austin, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; son, Ronnie Lewis Canaty of Rock Hill, S.C.; brother, Robert Lee Wilson of Rock Hill, S.C.; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Parker Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Gethsemene Church at 1637 Squire Road in Rock Hill, S.C. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery. Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
