Charles Cain YORK - Charles Lytle Cain, 69, of York, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Carolina Gardens in York. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York with the Rev. Dave Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Bratton Funeral Home in York. Charles was a son of the late Lytle Cain and Fannie Youngblood Cain. He was retired from Boston Gear as a machinist. Charles is survived by his son, Charles Jeffrey Cain Sr. (Kendall); grandchildren, Charles Jeffrey Cain Jr. and Josh Cain; great-grandchild, Raleigh Lytle Cain; sisters, Ferrie Green, Mary Frances Cain, Jimmie Cain and Alice Hope and brothers, Gene Cain, Roy Cain, Buddy Cain and Bobby Joe Cain. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Ramsey. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 12 N. Congress Street, York, SC 29745. Chisholm, Alvin B. - Chester  
Alvin B. Chisholm CHESTER - Alvin Bowden Chisholm was born January 12, 1978, in Chester, S.C. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Alvin Chisholm Jr. and his father, William A. Chisholm. He will be missed by his wife, Cindy Chisholm and his daughter, Chantel L. Chisholm. Alvin is also survived by his mother, Gwendolyn Bowden Chisholm and his sister, Jamilah Chisholm Wilkes (Calvin); paternal grandmother, Carrie Chisholm Cheek, along with loving nieces and a nephew. Memorial services were held on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Chester, S.C. The Rev. Terry Feaster officiated. The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their condolences and support. Betty E. Chance ROCK HILL - Betty Eades Chance, 76, passed away December 28, 2015. The celebration of her life will be 3 p.m. Jan. 30, 2016, at the home at 1150 Williams Street. She is survived by her children, Charles E. Chance, Deborah A. Chance and Charles H. Chance Jr.; grandchildren, Ann N. Arnett, Parker J. Arnett, Angel S. Chance and Brittany, Tyler and Eliza Chance; great-grandchildren, Bella R. Arnett, Marcos O. Barrena and Alan S. Barrena and sisters, Linda G. Blackwelder and Gaynell Powell. She was of the Christian faith. She loved Billy Graham, Joel Osteen and Christian music. She really loved her dog, Little Man. She is very much loved and is surely missed. We all love you! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.

Raymond Chisholm BLAIR - Mr. Raymond "Moon" Chisholm, 64, of 2234 Coleman Road in Blair, S.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at his home. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Antioch Baptist Church. Pastor Paul Long will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The viewing is 1 to 7 p.m. on Friday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery Street in Chester, S.C. The family will receive friends at the home.

Cole, William - Moore  
William F. Cole "Bill" MOORE - William Frederick Cole, 87 of 631 Melrose Park Lane passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016. Born November 11, 1928 in Alquippa, PA, he was the son of the late Olin "Jack" and Madeline Fink Cole and the husband of the late Patricia Lee Hamilton Cole. Mr. Cole was a Veteran of the Army and retired from IBM. Survivors include two sons, Gary Cole and wife Cathy of Duncan and Larry Cole and wife Becky of Margate, Fla; four grandchildren, Ryan Cole, Jason Cole, Michelle Chamberlain and Tabitha Dellinger; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Ned Cole. The family is at the home of a son Gary Cole 408 Spaulding Court Duncan. Entombment will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Mark Dellinger officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Unity Baptist Church 2300 Irene Bridge Hwy PO Box 275 Hickory Grove, SC 29717. Betty Mel Wallace Cox YORK - Betty Mel Wallace Cox, 83 of 2139 Appling Way, York died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at home. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Clover, SC with the Rev. Tommy Wilkes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the church. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC. Mrs. Cox was born May 7, 1932, to the late Ural Vennable and Agnes McCarter Wallace. Survivors are her sons Steve Smith of York, Rick Smith of Scottsdale, AZ, Mel Smith of York, Richard Cox of Greer, SC; sister Libby Wallace; grandchildren Daniel Smith of Clover and Ryan Smith Houston, TX; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Cox, Joe - Chester  
Joe Cox CHESTER - Joseph David Cox, age 86, of 1837 Pressley Road, passed away January 25, 2016, in the presence of his family. Mr. Cox was the widower of Dolly Belk Cox and the son of the late William H. and Eliza Johnson Cox; he was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War; was of the Christian faith and a retired residential building contractor. Mr. Cox was known as an extremely talented and skilled woodworker. He had an unmatched eye for detail and was well known for the custom and one of a kind beds and furniture he designed and built. He also loved working on the farm and being with his horses and dogs. He is survived by one son, Gene Cox of Chester; one daughter, Joey Cox Russell of Winder, Georgia; one brother, James William Cox; five sisters, Eliza C. Johnson, Annie C. Weddington, Tina C. Ellwood, Clara C. Gardner and Lillie C. Holcombe and several grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ollie C. Robernette. A memorial service for Mr. Cox will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, by the Reverend Clay Waldrip at Pollard Funeral Home.
