Gertrude Howard "Trudy" Malone KERSHAW, S.C. - Gertrude Howard 'Trudy' Malone, 74, of Kershaw, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at her home. Born in Whitmire, S.C., Trudy was a daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Wilhelmina Howard Malone. She was a healthcare provider serving as a CNA and Med. Tech. Trudy enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She also was a member of First Baptist Church of Kershaw. Surviving are her daughter, Kelly Barton Jans; her son, James E. "Jimbo" Barton Jr. and his wife, Jeanne; three granddaughters, Morgan Malone Jans, Madison Michelle Jans and Anne Marie Barton; two great-grandsons, Jaxon Keith and Jasen Lee, all of Kershaw; two sisters, Patsy Kimbrell of Fort Mill and Darnell Swanger and her husband, Charles of Rock Hill and two brothers, Lewis Howard of Fort Mill and Paul Malone Jr. of Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the home of her son at 182 Whitley Street in Kershaw. A private inurnment service will be held at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill conducted by the Rev. Bryant D. Fersner. Memorials in memory of Ms. Malone may be made to Homecare and Hospice of Lancaster, 901 West Meeting Street, Suite 201, Lancaster, SC 29720. Baker Funeral Home in Kershaw and Wolfe Funeral Home of Fort Mill are serving the Malone family.

Mary Morris ROCK HILL - Mary Morris passed away May 16, 2015, at her residence. Visitation is 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Hill Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mullis, Boyce - Rock Hill  
Boyce Lamar Mullis FORT MILL - Boyce Lamar Mullis passed away peacefully at home on May 22, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Boyce was born on May 30, 1929, and graduated from Indian Land High School. He served as a corporal in the US Army and a veteran of the Korean War; member of First Baptist Church of Fort Mill, and was also member of the Catawba Masonic Lodge#56 in Fort Mill. Boyce worked for over 50 years in the electronics and communications industry. His life was devoted to his wife, his children, grandchildren, and his extended family and church family. Boyce was a lifelong resident of Fort Mill. In his free time he enjoyed small engine repair, family gatherings, and sitting on his porch watching nature and airplanes. Boyce's sense of humor and patient temperament endeared him to all who knew him, especially his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost sixty years, Dorothy Bolin Mullis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hurley M. Mullis; four brothers; his son-in-law, Don Dover; and his adored dog Ginger. Boyce is survived by his son, Jeffrey Mullis (Jackie); his daughters, Judi Mullis Griffin (Keith) and Jan Mullis Dover; his grandchildren, Jad Griffin (Amanda), Jordan Griffin (Danielle), and Abbi Griffin, Candace Mullis Harger (Josh), Kayla Mullis, Cassie Mullis, Meredith Dover, Colby Dover Dalton (Brad), Will Dover and his great-grandson, Jace Griffin and his caregiver Suzanne McClure. Funeral Service for Mr. Mullis will be held 11 o'clock Monday, May 25th, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Fort Mill with Rev. Shannon Ford and Rev. Ralph Riley officiating. Burial will be in the Philadelphia United Methodist Church will Military Honors and Masonic Rites by the Catawba Lodge#56. The family of Mr. Mullis will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service at the Church. Memorials may be sent to Regency Hospice, 420 S. Herlong Ave, Suite 104, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Condolences to the family made be made at www.palmettofh.com . The family of Mr. Mullis is being served by Palmetto Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Mill, SC.
