Mary Lou Crocker Palmer ROCK HILL - Mrs. Mary Lou Crocker Palmer, 93, of Rock Hill passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill. A Celebration of Life will be held 4 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with Rev. Jim Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of Johnny and Betty Palmer, 282 Acorn Court, Rock Hill, SC. Born in Union, SC, Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of the late Russell and Alice Palmer Crocker. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Bible Baptist Church in Fort Mill. She was a retired weaver from Canon Mills with over 20 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Palmer, her son, William Michael Palmer, her daughter, Patty Sue Yelvington, two sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Palmer is survived by her sons, Johnny Palmer and wife, Betty of Rock Hill, SC and Timothy Palmer of York, SC; her daughters, Diane P. Neelands and husband, Mack of Moore, SC and Cindy Palmer of Rock Hill, SC; her brother, Francis Crocker and wife, Carolyn of Santuc, SC; and her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Plummer, Ron Eugene  
Ron E. Plummer ROCK HILL, S.C. - Mr. Ronald (Ron) Eugene Plummer, 69, passed away September 29, 2014, at his home with his friends by his side. He was born November 20, 1944, to the late Clarence and Ossie Plummer in Salisbury, N.C. He is survived by his brother, Wesley and his wife, Carol of Colorado. Ron was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He joined the N.C. Air National Guard after serving in Vietnam where he attained the rank of Lt. Colonel before retiring. Ron worked in Gastonia, N.C. as City Executive for First Citizens Bank prior to going to Rock Hill to assume the management of the Rock Hill National Bank Consumer Loan Division. He left RHNB to start his own mortgage lending business, Crown Mortgage in Fort Mill. Palmetto Funeral Home and Crematory in Fort Mill handled the cremation. Ron's ashes were scattered according to his wishes by his brother and friends. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Program or the York County Animal Shelter.

Pope, Bobby Gene - McConnells  
Bobby Pope McCONNELLS - Bobby Gene Pope, 58, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at his home in McConnells. A graveside service will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York. Bobby was a son of Bobby Wayne Pope and Joan Kirby Pope. He was a member of First Baptist Church of McConnells and was a retired electrician. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Smith Pope; son, Jeremy Pope of Springdale, Ark.; sister, Sherry Kissick of Rock Hill, S.C. and grandson, Gavin Davis.
