Lane Jr., Jack - Rock Hill  
Jack C. Lane, Jr. ROCK HILL - Jack C. Lane, Jr., 70, of Rock Hill, died March 27, 2016, of natural causes with family at his side. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Sandy; three sons: Kevin and Mark of Charlotte, NC, and Scott of Glendale, AZ; four grandsons: Joshua, Mason and Tyler of The Colony, Texas, and Kai of Charlotte, NC; a brother, Harold of Greenville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Jack was a Vietnam Veteran and a man of knowledge, which he humbly shared with those around him. Jack was a man of many talents. He loved to go camping, hiking and backpacking. He was troop leader of Boy Scout Troop #35 at Grace Lutheran Church for 11 years. His troop presented him with The Order of the Arrow Jacket. He retired from Comporium after 30 years of service as a lineman, a job he truly loved. A memorial service will be held June 4, ll:00am at Bethel United Methodist Church in Rock Hill.

LeVan, Jeannine - Rock Hill  
Jeannine Bell LeVan 1930 - 2016 ROCK HILL - Jeannine passed away on April 5, 2016, from cancer complications while under Hospice care. She was born on December 11, 1930, in Vandergrift, PA. Jeannine graduated from Pennsylvania State University with honors and participated in many honor societies - the most notable was Who's Who in colleges and universities. Our first home was Akron, OH, followed by moves to Atlanta and then to the Charlotte, NC area. Making our home in Rock Hill for the next 30 years. She obtained her Masters Degree from Georgia State University and preceded to teach 1st and 2nd graders in Cherokee County. She loved elementary grades and found great pleasure in seeing students come alive when they understood the basics. Her teaching experiences covered York, PA, Camp Hill, PA, Whidbey Island, WA and Little River School in Acworth, GA, plus private teacher. She had tree sons: Doug of Columbus, OH, Curt of Fort Valley, VA Eric of Portland, OR, husband Rod LeVan of Winchester, VA, a sister of Silver Springs, MD, a brother of Gainesville, VA, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. As a long time member of Living Saviour Lutheran Church in Charlotte she was active in the choir. Locally, she was a member of at least 10 bridge groups with many friends in Rock Hill. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
