Emmett Leverne Gulledge

Emmett Gulledge ROCK HILL - Mr. Emmett Leverne Gulledge, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, with the Rev. Dave Kiehn officiating. Burial will be private. Born in Rock Hill, S.C., Mr. Gulledge was a son of the late James Bunyon Gulledge and the late Helen Workman Gulledge. He was a jack-of-all-trades which took him all over the United States as a steel worker, pipe fitter, welder, plumber and phone cableman. Surviving are his daughter, Chris Tubbs of McConnells; his brother, Gerald Gulledge (Debbie) of Surfside; his sisters, Phyllis G. Belk (Bob) and Sherri Helene Gulledge, both of Rock Hill; his granddaughter, Stevie Makale Freeman; and his special nephew, Chaz Gulledge. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Bundy Gulledge and Bobby Ray Gulledge. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home, 355 E. White Street, Rock Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Gulledge's name to Park Baptist Church, 717 E. Main St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
